STEP BY STEP PRACTICALS - ANSIBLE - HOW TO INVOKE ANSIBLE PLUGIN IN JENKINS

Please find the steps on how to invoke Ansible plugin in Jenkins.

 

 1) Please open your browser and open the jenkins URL.

In my example, I have installed jenkins on a Cent OS server. 

 

 

2) Enter your username and password to login into the jenkins portal.

 Note:- This would be created at the time of the installation.


3) In case of a new installation you would not find any jenkins jobs.


4) Now click on the option Manage Jenkins on the left hand pane.

 

 

5)  Now on the right hand pane, click ont he option Manage Plugin.



6) Now click on the second option - Available and search for Ansible from the entire list.


 

 7) Select the option - Ansible from the list and then click on - Install without restart.


 

 8) This would start the installation of Jenkins plugin. Once completed, it would show the below message.

 

9) Now you can see Ansible option under the Build option.
